5D light, exif and Heerman's Gull

Hello,

What really made this photo for me was two things.

One was the light - it was simply the softest I had ever seen on a subject.

Second was the exif. This is a 5D at ISO 1600, a 500/4 with a 2x (so 1000mm) at 1/60s.

ISO 1600, 1/60s , 1000mm - these numbers just weren't possible not too long ago.

    Wow, gorgeous colors, lovely lovely shot Steve. Isn't 1600 amazing on the 5D? I'm blown away by the high-ISO performance. BTW - dont' be afraid to try ISO 3200 :D
