My own thoughts on the Canon EOS C80
Yes, it's a big brother to the C70, with a very similar capability, layout/configuration and use case to the C70.
I see this as an upgrade path for smaller news organizations, schools, churches and municipalities who need, and can afford, better dynamic range and better streaming specifications than the C70, plus a desire to use SD UHS II media.
It's not for those who need multi-camera capabities and other amenities offered by the more expensive C400, with it's more 'Production Camera' oriented form-factor and button layout, plus a 6K-60P internal recording capability thanks to a CFexpress Type-B card slot.
(The C80 will eventually be able to Externally record 6K-60P via HDMI and an external recorder*.)
*(Sorry, it looks like the Ninja Ultra might be capable of 6K-60P, not the 'V' series recorders.)
