How to reinstate options for video playback sizes?

Happy new year everyone. Long-time-no-visit-but-still-LOVE-my-SM-site.
After many years of not making custom changes, I'm checking on things, and I see that when I play a video, the only options are to play at the size it defaults to inside the gallery, or to click the little broken rectangle thing in the bottom right corner. Doing this defaults to full screen with no way to resize, only to exit back to the gallery. There used to be 3-4 different size options, as I recall, either prior to clicking play, or after beginning play. Picture-in-picture (new to me), while it opens outside the browser, stays small in size with no resize options.
Opening via a shared link also does not provide size options.
I have checked any settings I can find, and also the site-wide CSS, and I find no way to bring back the size options.
