Goodbye DGrin

Will dgrin, in its current state, be preserved? It's such a wealth of knowledge. I hate to see it gone. I'm sure this has been addressed, I kinda just wanted to say farewell... On my birthday, Thursday! Buenos Noches.

AFAIK, Smugmug is not planning to save anything. One can use the Wayback Machine (https://web.archive.org/) to look at static versions archived in the past, but it's not a great experience generally--you cannot search and many images of older pages are missing. Some links can be followed, others not. I was able to find some Smugmug customization threads, but it wasn't very reliable, and of course, you cannot post questions if you have them. I have no idea of what Smugmug is planning for the Flickr replacement. Perhaps @giberti could jump in and enlighten us...
At FOP is there a forum for discussion Smugmug?

FOP is a place for sharing and discussing photography.
@sapphire73 is exploring starting an equivalent of the dgrin challenges there.
There's nothing that says you can't discuss SmugMug-specific things there but I suspect the Flickr forum (https://www.flickr.com/groups/dgrin/) may be a better place for SmugMug issues.
Why don't you take a look around?

Kase, I see you have made the move to FoP. Thanks!
Allen, no, unfortunately, probably not in the cards for anything at FoP to cater to SM customizations or policy questions. I don't see us (FoP) being willing to cater to or favor one company over others, nor do I think it would be in the interest of FoP. If SM wants to create another conduit, let them. And I wish they would. I mostly worry if there will even be a place to ever discuss or post customizations once we lose Dgrin completely.

You needn't favor any one company. Rather, you could host advice about customization of every host that permits it and leave it to the membership to drive participation. You don't favor one camera manufacturer over another, you have threads for many of them.
