Really need help...

I found a few problems that I really need help with on my site. In my wedding gallery I have a subgallery called "wedding samples". When you click it it brings up andother thumnail instead of going directly to the gallery. I had a person call me and say that they wanted to check my site for the purpose of possibly shooting her wedding and all they got to see was one photo. That's when I found this issue, what I did to temporarily fix it is that I put a link that says "click her to view ...". That worked, but I still want to get rid of the extra step.

The second problem is even bigger. When I am in the same subgallery looking at photos there is no link to get the client back to my main page. All of the other pages work as far as I can see, just not this one. Also the header is different than all of the other pages. It gives me the whole smugmug logo and the sign in/free trial stuff. I would like that to go away and make the page look like all of the rest. Please help.

One last thing is that I would like the initial link in all the galleries that get one to my main page not tosay Dean anymore. I would prefer it to say something like home or main page. Thanks so much for all of your help.

    Dean,

    You have this gallery:

    http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/559867

Set to "hide owner" (see that your name is NOT in the url?) Go to Gallery Tools>Customize Gallery and set Hide Owner to NO and Appearance to Custom.

    http://www.smugmug.com/help/picture-storage

Furthermore, the reason it takes two clicks is that you have the gallery set up in a SUBcategory called "wedding samples"

So, the viewer has to go:

    homepage>weddings>wedding samples>gallery

    http://www.smugmug.com/help/upload-photo

    Lots of clicks.

To change your name ("Dean") go to control panel>account settings.

    http://www.smugmug.com/help/control-panel

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks again Andy,

I have been changing things on the site all day. Anway when I changed the name and typed in home where it said Dean it said Home's home. I tried leaving it blank and it said there was a problem with the setting. I even tried just putting in a . and it came up saying ".'s home. Any thoughts? I would love for it tro say Home or Home Page if possible on all pages. Thanks...Dean

    How about my FAQ?
    http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=26043

    There, I found
    http://www.dgrin.com/showpost.php?p=158455&postcount=2

And then I just changed your first name in control panel to Dean Malaxos and your last name to Home. Then set to display Last name.

    You are the man...

So I am sure you I will pick your brain again. I manage an online photo community called proffessional phototalk and asked the members to navigate my site and see if they have problems and to make suggestions, that's why all the changes the last few days.

Anyway, the last one I can think of is the idea of haveing a page where I can add banners to some of my photographer friend's sites? I was told that this drastically increases your search rating. I would also like to add a link to paypal at some time so my clients can pay me online with a credit card. Thanks...Dean

OK Andy, I figured out the paypal banner. I will post at a later time when I decide exactly where I want it placed.

How about the hidden page with all the banners for my friends? What I am looking to do is make a small link at the bottom of my page that will say something like "usefull links" or something like that. It will bring them to the hidden gallery (page) that will have all the banners and possibly some info concerning them. Thanks...Dean

Dean, did you read the HTML Only Page links? Set up those galleries, and put the CSS code in your CSS as instructed there. Ping me when you've done that, OK? I can't put the paypal code in for you, you have to do that yourself :D Just follow the bouncing ball and let me know how you make out on that. I gave exact example... Holler with questions!

Thanks Andy, I was able to create the album but not able to make any HTML banners work at all. For example I tried putting the Paypal HTML in the footer and it worked. However when I put it in the CSS it did nothing. What am I doing wrong?

    Once again...Dean
