    Hey Dani,

Its nice to have an eagle's nest only a 15 minute from your house. :D That morning as I was driving to the Wetlands I saw an eagle perched on a power pole on the road into the Wetlands. Then after I got in I saw a juvenile bald eagle perched in a tree. He was chased from his perch by a mature bald eagle and landed two trees down. About 10 minutes after that as I was driving further through the Wetlands I saw these two sitting by the side of the road. Yep, its very nice.

Yeah birds ain't the smartest thing around but hey that's their nature. How do you explain all the humans who get soused before they drive their car or plane. When they crash it sure don't smell like chciken.

    Nice egrets!

I love the assertive looking one that Seamus picked out! Cool capture!

I was on my way to try to find an egret with the only lens I have left right now when I noticed that there was something wrong with my camera.

Has anyone else had to take a hair out of their camera...........the hair was lying on top of the sensor with a tad of hair to the side. Tweezers and a prayer, I am still shaking. (No, I don't mean my hand was shaking when I took it out. My insides were.) And needless to say, we did not go back out after birds.

    Hello,

Most of the pictures I just look at.

The really good ones (or series) I have my wife come look at.

She enjoyed your shots too. thumb.gif

aside - being from Minnesota as well, you never know about that white stuff. I've been water skiing in late April when it started snowing. rolleyes1.gif

It has been an unusually warm winter, though, so I expect by April we'll have the egrets lined up for you. 1drink.gif

Thanks Ginger. Next time you have a hair on your sensor trying using a good blower (i.e the Giotto Rocket Blower) on it before you get the tweezers out.

I offered the eagles a ride but i guess thy wanted a fancier car, they turned me down. rolleyes1.gif

Thanks Steve. I have fingers crossed with this St Paul visit. Two years in Florida has eliminated my snow tolerance level (which was never really high to begin with)..
