    Hey Tom,
    thanks for the compliment. that third shot is indeed kind of funny. this humingbird was caught in the act of preening itself and it didn't seem too embarassed at my presence. Lucky me! This shot was taken with a 300 f4 w 1.4TC

    there's really no secret: long lens, fast shutter speed, fill flash and drive set at continuous mode.

    You've got a couple of species that are new to me. Love the colors on #2 and the partially open beak is a hard one to capture too clap.gif #3 is funny and like many others, I thought he was imitating a pelican....Laughing.gif Funny, but very nice at the same time.

    15524779-Ti.gifagree I doubly agree... these are two of the nicest sets of hummers I've seen in a while. Wish I could even come close.

    I especially like the in-flight one.
