I had a mesage on my site saying I had exceeded the monthly limit of 4gb on my smugmug site, one of my galleries had 68,000 hits, has this happened to anyone else??

Yes. Shortly after establishing a gallery on smugmug, I watched the statistics on that gallery climb by the minute (about 5 hits per second).

I ended up deleting the gallery and the hits just kept on coming!

Notified tech support (excellent) and they handled the matter. I never did find out the problem, just that it got fixed.

Kevin, when we come back online after this maintenance, I'll have a look. Not to worry.

    Kevin,

I reset your bandwidth, giving you an extra 3gb for the month. If you turn originals OFF you'll use less bandwidth. Write back with any more questions :D

Are you hosting any auctions, or posting in lots of forums or anything unusual?

Thanks Andy, yes I have been posting on DP review and Fred Miranda, mostly wildlife, and that was the Gallery that hit the data limit. I guess I will have to cut back a bit.

wave.gif NONON don't cut back - post away - but post your -Ls not your -Os :D

or, post one or two pics inline and then give folks a link to your galleries.
