Hi everyone,
just bought a canon 20D and can't make my Quantaray PZ-1 flash fire on it. Now this flash works in auto with me canon Rebel and in manual with my Sony 828. I know the 20D is a TTL II system and the flash is not but the flash will auto zoom the head and the auto focus light does come on when I push the shutter botton. Which makes me think I don't have the right settings on the camera. All I want is the flash to manually fire for me. You guys have any ideas on this. Please let me know. Thanks Darwin

I can't tell you anything specifically about the Quantaray flash, but on my 20D, I simply placed one of my Sunpak 383s on the hotshoe, put it (the flash) in Manual mode, the camera in various modes (P, Av, and M) and fired away. I don't recall setting anything to turn on the hotshoe. Works fine. ne_nau.gif
