I love my job, I miss my camera!

So I've worked my way from the consulting position to a full time permanent offer. I r-e-a-l-l-y like this work stuff. I do not miss being the boss, supervising, being the one and only go to guy. I do a really good job for my employers, they really like me, and the added stress of always being on call or wondering when the next payday is coming is g-o-n-e!!!
But boy do I miss my camera, time to edit and immerse myself in my photos, time to go out and shoot. And as spring approaches I know I will miss it more and more.
We were in Banff this weekend but I only got to shoot on Sunday. I have less than a gig of RAW files on a card, and just won't get to them any time soon.
The soccer centers have to restrict where we can shoot from now after someone got hurt by standing where I (and other photogs) stand, so I'm not even shooting the kids games any more.
But, all in all, I like being able to pay the bills, buy some nice clothes, look forward to a holiday. It is all good.
On another note, I've finished a bunch of painting around the house and starting putting snaps of the family on display - funny (not humorous) thing - I've got very few snaps since I went digital.....
And on yet another note - take the time to appreciate the small things. We've just learned a friend has a terminal illness. Hug your significant others, smile at the crabby boss lady, smell the flowers, relish the sunset.
Cheers, everyone! :beer
