My sigma arrived today:clap it took all of two days to get here. So as soon as I got home I ran to the store and picked up some flowers, it's raining today so no outside and no bugs:wxwax

This thing is going to be a blast. Mounted it to the tripod and started firing away. Not all of these are 1:1 as I'm trying to feel out the different settings. Hope you enjoy. C&C alway appreciated:thumb

Congrats on the new lens. Looks like you have got the hang of it already- very good sharp shots.
If it's any help there's some stuff on how I do my shots in this thread

Thanks Brian. Not even close to the quality of yours but I've got to start somewhere. Thanks for the link, I have already read and re-read that post 3 times is the last two days.

It just has different optics which enable it to focus much closer than a similar focal length lens. So for example my 105mm Macro lens focuses down to a minimum of 4.5" subject to end of lens (this gives the max magnification of 1:1) whilst a normal 100mm lens is unlikely to focus any closer than about 15-24" from the subject.
