Firefox 1.5.0.1 & Spellbound

Last night firefox suddenly prompted me to upgrade to the latest version: 1.5.0.1. Since better OS X support and stability was one of the top items on the release notes, I went ahead.

Oh, sorry day! Spellbound, my most important extension is incompatible and couldn't fine a version which was.

Good news: I found this and I installed it, uninstalled the old libraries and old version and now it's working!
If not now, when?

Interesting. I was prompted to upgrade and did so just now. I noticed that it only checked for extension compatibility after it had gone ahead and installed 1.5.0.1. Fortunately, all of the extensions I use seem to be OK. Next time, I think I will wait to upgrade till I can confirm that the extensions will work. It would be nice if the installer did this and gave a report that would let me make a better informed decision.

    Cheers,
