I just received my Back-up DVD from SmugMug! WOW Fantastic!!!
For me it is an archive of my life and passion for the past 3 years.
I have been putting my photos on my site since 2003 when I first began learning about photography, digital specifically. I have enjoyed my smugmug account very much. My very large family and friends frequent my site often and comment all the time about how often they will pull up my site to show recent photos of events and family members. It has become "everyone's smugmug"..LOL
3 camera upgrades later, I have decided to get a little bit more involved in my photography and go "Pro". So many people have been asking me to do photography for them, and I have and usually not charging. I never felt I was talented enough, but they seem to be very pleased with what I do....soooo. . . I upgraded to a Smugmug PRO account and will work on getting my site set-up for business. I can still maintain galleries for my family and friends that will be hidden from my clients and password protected for family only.
I had so many photos and so many galleries that I became overwhelmed with the task of cleaning out to begin anew in creating a more organized professional site.
I decided I needed to clear everything out of my account, but how?
The solution was simple...and so EASY! I ordered a DVD Back-up.
It arrived today and I am just so happy that I have everything on one disc; a wonderful way for me to archive my early shots and as I view it I can see the progression of my hard work.
I am thinking next year for Christmas...I may just give everyone in the family a DVD of the past year in family photos. I can choose which galleries I want backed up and so even individualize if i so desire.
I will never again dread the year end...trying to figure out a way to organize everything. A wonderful, affordable solution that saves many hours of work for me!
