First attempt at birds in flight. I must admit this was cheating though - I was on a ferry and they were flying along with us.

They did good at keeping up with the ferry, and you "nailed" them!

    ginger (good, excellent clarity!)
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

Nice job, Phil. You did well with the exposure of the white birds. thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice series, Phil. That wouldn't by chance be the outerbanks and the ferry from/to Ocracoke? Some of those WRIFs look familiar. :D

Nope, I hadn't seen the other thread - thanks for the link.

Last summer I shot the lighthouses on the outer banks (will post some later) and took the ferry from Ocracoke headed south on the way to shoot Cape Lookout lighthouse. The angles, etc. on the gulls just reminded me of my trip to a T along with the photos of the WRIFs that I took. :D

Of course your avatar of Bodie Lighthouse is a pretty good hint as well.
