The Car Ride

Daddy, What's nuclear power? When does time begin? If I don't have a watch, do I have time? I like birds. I'd like to be a bird, because I could fly. But then, I wouldn't like to be a bird, because I wouldn't have Game Cube in my bird's nest. Or would I? No, because there wouldn't be a plug. Daddy, do they have plugs in bird's nests? [imgl]http://williams.smugmug.com/photos/55106972-M.jpg[/imgl]So, I hope we see a Bald Eagle today, they're really cool because they're on our money. I have forty-seven dollars and sixty-six cents in my three piggy banks Dad, can we go to the Lego store this weekend? I'd like to live in a house made of Lego, but then it's really hard because if you lose a piece, you'd have to go to a really special store to get the new one, because they don't sell Lego at Home Depot. I like the guys that wear the orange aprons there. Hey Dad, do they still have those Orange flags up in Central Park? No? Oh. How come? Did they blow away? Do you remember when we flew the big kite last summer at the beach? Are we going to the beach this winter? Because I want to dig for clams. I really like clams except I don't want to eat them. You shouldn't hunt animals for fun, only for food when you are hungry, like the cave men did a few years ago before there were supermarkets.

All on a fifteen-minute drive to the nature preserve, where we went in search of Bald Eagles. We got rained on, but had a wonderful afternoon. I just love the free-association that kids do :D

    Yes, do NOT lose that photograph with the writing..........cause the writing is the BEST!

    Plus, to say, my kids usually had "company", like each other. Their free association was more like, "Mom, he hit me", "Well, she pinched me", MOM!
    OOOOOOOOOOUCCCH! Scream.

    I would go back in a heartbeat!

    wonderful image, great dialogue....or is it a monologue ( i probably spelled those words wrong ).

    BTW, where is there a nature preserve with bald eagles???

    and another BTW, you're suppose to keep both hands on the wheel...

    Yes priceless and such a cutie. They come up with the darndest things.

    I told my 3 year old to eat his supper so he would grow up to be big and strong. He looks at me and goes NO! I wanna be Big and Rich!!!!!!

    Those conversations are "nice". This happens to me each time I get into the car (and my daughter is 8).
    I would definitely keep that picture (it is too cute)...
