Headed to Rocky Mountain National Park yesterday and the skies were less than idea for landscapes...just a solid grey with no deffinition at all. Sad because down here in Denver it was sunny so I figured would be nice up there as well...well I thought wrong. However, I did manage to get a great deal of wildlife shots and this is one of those. The Elk and Deer were out in force yesterday and this Elk was a tad freightened by my German Shepherd in the backseat who would not for the life of him, be quiet...lol So I suppose you can say he got her attention pretty good. Poor cow ran off fast after this shot.

    John-

    used to want sunny days-
now, I don't mind the gray ones because I'm not blowing out any highlights and not worrying about too much contrast-
    this is a nice shot-

Love that shot. The sun can sure get in the way of things sometimes.
    Dogs, too.

This time the dog was an advantage, as was the overcast day.

Nice capture in difficult lighting. That dang sun just doesn't cooperate sometimes.
