Is canon going to release any new digital slr's any time soon?
i've been checking the PMA report on Dpreview... no siting of canon yet but i have no doubt they'll be releasing a new camera model and probably a new lens either at PMA or shortly there-after.
There are a lot of reasons not to believe this, especially those efs lenses which weren't designed for a 1.3 factor. One guess is that the camera will automatically crop when it detects one of them. Seems like an odd decision.

Yes.
But that depends on what your definition of "soon" is.

Canon is doing a great job of keeping all their announcements secret this year.

Canon 35D, not a lot of info, and the 1.3x crop factor may be incorrect, but you can expect more info to leak in the days to follow.

that would be fantastic if it was a 1.3 factor

It's going to be fun to see what they do.
