You can just feel the warmth of the steam melting the icicles on this morning at sunrise.

It was actually about -25F, but it looked warm. :rolleyes

    Lake Superior in the winter is pretty amazing.

    If the wind is blowing away from the shore you will often have open water.

    The next day the whole area can be huge blocks and pieces of ice if the wind turns and come from the lake to the shore.

    The air temp was about -25F . I don't know what the water temperature was, but whether there is ice or not depends on many other things.

    The day after this picture I was in Duluth and the harbor was covered in ice.
