My Father's Sugar Shed

My father passed away last week after a year of declining health and while there I captured an image of his sugar shed in the woods behind his house. It is rather symbolic as normally the open area would be filled with wood in anticipation of the spring tapping. My dad sure could make a decent batch of syrup.

I hope you don't mind, but I gave your image some adjustements.

    Quebec? I love maple syrup.

    1) Set the blackpoint
    2) it looked like it was falling over so I rotated it a tad.
    3) Contrast via a curves adjustement
    4) +5 saturation

Interesting adjustments but too harsh. The building and background do not look like your rendition at all, it is soft as my photo depicts. I'll agree with the rotation part.

Condolences for your loss, DirtDog. I think this is an excellent shot- more powerful given the context. Very stark. You should hang this one on the wall.
