Slide copier

1-Has any one used a camera mounted slide copier with a digital camera?

2-do they work as good as or any better than a scanner?

3- Which type..standard one that looks like a zoom lens or the bellows type?

I do not plan on doing much croping I just want an effecient and inexpenxive way to copy the multitudes of 35mm slides I have...I ran across approx 10 rolls of undeveloped fuji 50 this evening under a topn of photos in a filing cabinet....Hmmmmm
