Is it possible to adjust the size of the slideshow from full screen to something smaller?

Thanks in advance for any help.

wave.gif Hi cyber :D welcome to Dgrin!

Well, if you are a power or pro user, you can do several things:

    1) kill the full screen (see my FAQ for the code)
    http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=26043

    2) then, you can use the Slideshow style from the dropdown box. That's smaller.

    3) you can even remove the FULL screen option from this slideshow (see my FAQ for that answer)

    4) you can make your own slide show on any page you want, any size, really, an example is on the following pages:

    www.moonriverphotography.com
    http://www.moonriverphotography.com/gallery/1145608
    http://dgrin.smugmug.com
    http://bigwebguy.smugmug.com
    http://davidrosenthal.smugmug.com
    http://baldy.smugmug.com

So you can do ALL these things, but AFAIK you can't change the size of the FS window ....but hey, maybe one of the hackers will figure that out, too.

    questions?
    Hi Andy,
Thanks for your help so far.
I have tried the code suggested but I am unable to kill the full screen slideshow mode.
Regarding point 2; Where is the drop down box to select slideshow style?

    Thanks for your patience.headscratch.gif

    No worries, Cyber!

    .play_slideshow {display: none;}

Put that (ALL of it) in your Control Panel>Customize>CSS section. Then click "update" at the bottom of screen.

If, in gallery customization, you allow "viewer's choice" then you'll have a dropdown box that shows all the different viewing styles. See here for example ok:

    Hey Andy

thanks a bunch that info already helped. Now, I saw it on the site, how do I have a floating slideshow with a button that when viewing in regular view I can click it and the slideshow in not full screen hover above the gallery.

    Hopefully I made myself clear

    Thanks again,

    Ted
