I've enjoyed the challenges for quite some time. Here's my first attempt at an entry.

The color's fantastic. I think it could use a small crop off the bottom to reduce the amount of dead black.

15524779-Ti.gif The color is just wonderful. An image like this would make getting out of bed in time to capture it worth while. Nice job.

Gorgeous colors! But as far as the contest criteria, I don't see just 2 colors. I see yellow, orange, blue, purple, and black. Nice shot, though. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the input
    Thanks, everyone, for the comments.

I'm still playing with the crop. I'm trying to decrease the amount of black in the foreground without taking anything from the left side. In my mind, the relative placement of the foreground transmission structure is important to the composition. I may just take a bit off of the bottom and go to a less standard aspect ratio.

As to the colors, when I see this image, the orange and yellow jump out. The subtle variations in the clouds somehow make the brighter colors more interesting. I know everyone will see something a bit different.

I'd be interested to hear more comments on the colors. For instance, does the size of the image effect the way the colors are perceived?

    Thanks, georges
