Here are some pictures taken from 11am through 1pm today, during the blizzard that hit the North East today. Boston did not get the jackpot, i think about 18 inches at the end, but there was enough snow and the wind really howled.
I shot all the pics with my D50 and 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. I used the 'raincoat' for my camera. It kept my D50 warm (my hands were inside the 'raincoat') and quite dry.
Here are a few selections:
1 Newbury Street
2 Silhouettes on Boylston Street
3 Prudential Center
4 Fallen Bike
5 No Summer yet...
6 Weathering the Snow
7 Where i live
8 Snow Drift
All the pics can be seen at this online gallery

I can't grasp the notion of time.
When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
in two billion years,
all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

I love the first shot. I would buy it in a store. The rest are great too, but the first one rocks.

I feel your pain, having spent 15 years in Vermont. Nice pics, they do a good job conveying the essence of a nasty winter storm.

Thanks Awais!
It just looked like an abandoned bike (maybe it was)... so sad to be burried under that snow.

I've seen the user of the term camera 'raincoat' in a number of places and now I'm asking. What is this raincoat?
Thanks

I have no idea what the official name is (i would have used it by now ). But this is how mine looks:
Your hands go inside this T shape, at RH and LH.
You camera is inside the T, the lens pointing toward L.
At the end of the vertical of the T, there is a velcro that tightens the grip on the lens/lenshood.
Most of the horizontal of the T is of transpanrent plastic. So, you see the top of your camera, the back and through the view-finder by looking through the plastic.
All three openings, L, LH, RH are a bit elastic, so it can tighten around the lens and your wrists, if you want. The bottom is closed by a zipper. This allows you to insert the camera easily and have a little opening remaining in case you need to use a tripod.
Hope this helps
Hey! I found it on the net by googling 'kata' and 'e-702'. It's called a GDC Elements Cover:
