mod edit: I moved all this nonsense from the original FS ad in the flea market to its own thread. Now you can all guess, lecture and preach to Daniel.

Okay Daniel, what is the "devised plan"? Seems to me you dream about changing equipment more often than most people change their underwear.

I would suggest learning with and growing with a camera and its accessories will help you take better pictures.

What is your plan? 20D or 1DmkII?

    or 350XT with a 35-350 lens.

I hate plans when they are secret and I know they are secret :)

Sound advice Graphy, and I'm sure Daniel appreciates it. I'm also very sure you're just looking out for him, but I think PM may be the best place for this debate to take place. We are pretty close to thread hijacking/sale sabotage here guys and regardless of how we feel about his sale, Daniel should be afforded the same rights and courtesy any Dgrinner would show us.

Just to chime in: if Dan was 34 years old, nobody would have said anything. Being 14 today isn't like being 14 three decades ago. When I was his age I bought my first computer and was the same way with upgrades -- and sooner than later I was making solid money using it in highschool. If he feels like he wants a 20D, let'm have it -- it's definetely a nice upgrade from the 10D. (Wish I could afford to go up to a 20D!)

Damn. I'm looking to get my first dSLR, and this would be the perfect entry level for me! Lol, unfortunatley my budget can't support that right now, but in 6 or 8 months anybody with a good deal on a (then old) 20D watch out! :D

Lol, don't tempt me! I'm ahving trouble paying my rent and bills the way it is! The last thing I need is another $1000 on my credit card to have to deal with! Now, if I can buy it with a no money down, no payments for a year, option, then we can talk! Lol :D

    Dan, question:
For someone who has been saying "Wait for FMA" every thirteen seconds for the last few weeks, why didn't you wait a couple weeks for Canon's new bombshell, so the used 20Ds' prices would drop significantly?

You all can delete this after I have my say!

Daniel is not 14, he is a photographer.

And some people here sound like a cliche of old, as in "when I was your age".

Also, equipment does matter, and a 14 yr old with a plan that does not involve drugs, etc, well, sounds good to me.

But I repeat, Dan is not 14 yrs old. I have never known anyone like him. He is one for the "ages".

    ginger

Oh, and any camera he has had I am sure has been well taken care of. And this one even sounds like a very good deal!!!!

(and my 20D is staying right here, no matter what Canon brings out)
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

    It's ok to have dreams.
The smart thing to do is have dreams, but make sure they are realistic and reasonable. Listen to what experienced people have to say - blend that in with your dream until you have a plan that is realistic and meets the real world budjet.
