1st attempt at B&W -Sepia using Canon DPP

Tried out Canon Digital Photo Professional to do Sepia toned B&W of the Great Bridge Inland Waterway approach to ther Great Bridge Locks in Chesapeake, VA - shot was initial one made with new Canon 17-40L also.

    I have a preference for B&W over color in most images. I shoot color and then convert. I have been using PSCS to convert but decided to give DPP a try and I think I like the results.

    Depends on the type of photo. I use LAB and luminosity channel (play with layer blend modes to get what I like). On others I go with Channel Mixer.
    I have tried several different methods, but ultimately settled mostly on these 2. What have found to be helpful for conversion?
