I believe this is a great egret, as cranes are not usually white.
Sandhill cranes are grey-tan with a red head.
Common cranes are grey with a red and black head.
Whooping cranes are white but have a red head and are still rather rare. Some whooping cranes winter in Aransas National Wildlife Refuge along the Gulf coast of Texas.
Your image is sharp, well exposed, nicely lit.
Maybe a little too central in the frame for my taste.
Nice capture of one of my favorite subjects. I gree with PF's suggestion. You did a good job with a difficult expsoure.
