Welcome to dgrin and the Nature and Wildlife thread.:): Post more bird pictures pleaseiloveyou.gif

I believe this is a great egret, as cranes are not usually white.

Sandhill cranes are grey-tan with a red head.

Common cranes are grey with a red and black head.

Whooping cranes are white but have a red head and are still rather rare. Some whooping cranes winter in Aransas National Wildlife Refuge along the Gulf coast of Texas.

Your image is sharp, well exposed, nicely lit.

Maybe a little too central in the frame for my taste.

    Again, welcome to dgrin.clap.gif

Welcome to Dgrin, Eswist. Nice shot of a Great Egret (great white egret by some). I'll agree with Pathfinder on the crit.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
