Every spring the Bald Eagles come to our area to feast on the placentas from spring calving. Took a drive down there today and saw 5, was only able to get close enough to get one semi-decent shot. Still highly cropped and somewhat back lit. It's amazing how our standards go down for eagle shots :wink

I hope to get down there for more shots, but we're expecting another storm tonight with snow and high's in the 30's. :uhoh

Regards and thanks for looking,

Hey Steve. Those birds are awsome. They don't seem to like to have their picture taken. Was that with your 500mm? I guess I was lucky to get a half way decent shot of the eagle I got ........with the itty bitty 200mm.

Good capture Steve. A tad soft (probably the cropping) but still a really good capture. clap.gif

Don't you just love those eagles.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Yep, that was with the 500 and a 1.4xTC on. I went down this morning and took more with the 1.4TC a 2XTC and with both stacked. I haven't looked at them closely to see if they are any better. The sky was overcast this AM, so it'd doubtful I've gotten much better.

Thanks Jeff. They should be in the area for the next few weeks. I hope to get better shots if the Sun will stay out and with a bit of luck.
