Snow on the Coast Range

I guess this is the day for snow pictures from Southern California.

I took these off of my balcony this morning.

    Sweet light, patrticularly on the second shot, but not sure about the composition. IMO both pix have the horizon too central, try framing the shot so that the horizon sits about a 1/3 of the way from the top/bottom of the shot. Also some foreground is needed to draw you in, that's tough from a balcony so I 'd get down in there & find some new angles :D

    I agree....some foreground would really help these shots. With a view like that though, I imagine it's hard to leave your balcony!!! :D

    What a lovely view from your balcony. Perhaps a slight crop of the sky may help and if you could extract some detail from the foreground in No.1 it may help.:):

    Thanks for your comments. Here's one picture re-worked and another that hadn't been posted before. I've tried to incorporate your comments. Part of the problem was that I was working with my 75-300 mm lens, and I don't have a lot of the picture that I can crop out. Lesson learned: telephoto lenses may not be your best choice for landscapes.:D
