More Merritt Island birds. If I knew their names I would add some interesting information, but you'll just have to put up with my corny titles. Now that I have gotten toward the end of the Melbourne shoot, I can start showing off my Eagle captures from No. Fla.......Coming soon.

The Wood Stork head shot (next to last) is my fav. I never got that close to one. Nice exposure and lighting on that one. the background works very well also. If it were mine, I might cheat a little and clone the upper left corner. The last one is cool too, nice job exposing for the highlights.

    Great stuff here Dallas.

I like Rocket Man the great egret in flight. Clean simple lines.

I also really like the juvenile ibises. They were so hard to shoot as they always had so much vegetation, roots, and canal bank for a background. Your shot is really quite nice and the background is much better than any I captured. I shot the ibises a lot, but never could get a decent background.. Kudos to you!! Looks like you crawled into the ditch to play aligator bait to get that low angle. Well done.

Your egret is luscious also. Ready for CB, indeed!!

Very nice shots!!! That stork has quite an attitude, doesn't he? Very sharp, crisp and great colors.

Thanks Thomas, you are so right. I didn't even notice the corner, because I was so attentive to the bird. The storks, and spoonbills were very interesting to me, but I didn't really get a good shot. Oh well, you get what you can.

Thanks Saurora, he turned out fine, but I wanted a full shot and this is all I could do. But I'm always happy with results such as this.

Thanks Pathfinder. Rocket man looks like he's in a hurry to go no where. I had the same background problem with most of my shots, but this one had less than others. I also cheated a little with the blur tool in PS; it softens the BG enough make some difference.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
