While reading through the 30D info (yawnnnnn), I came across something that might actually be the newest and best thing about this new Canon stuff...
Digital Photo Professional Release 2.1
New Features:
• User configurable noise-reduction in edit mode window
• Contact sheet printing and single image printing function
• Automatic tone curve assist for poorly exposed shots
The addition of NR is quite a bit more than I was expecting. Whether that means built-in or a user choice plugin is not yet known. Now, if they can just fix that nasty bug about not processing more than 8-bits of info per channel in RAW. Hmmmm.
