Dallas (fellow dgrinner) and I had a great time today at the Sepulveda basin wildlife reserve trying to capture these images. Hope you enjoy them as much as I had making them.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

You seem to "still" have a very good eye for detail (judging by your work) and, indeed, the Hawk and Egret shots do seem to be a tad over sharpened.
I sometimes have to really restrain myself from overprocessing my images.
