    14 hours a week?

Someone needs to slap some work ethic into you. 14 hours is a hobby not a job.

yeah, that makes sense. What we tell our students is that every credit hour should be calculated as a minimum 3 hr committment: 1 hr in class + at least 2 hrs of out of class work. That's why a 12+ unit load is considered "full time" (not that all students conform to those expectations; and not all teachers do either - just makes those of us who do look badne_nau.gif)

That's why you only take 12-15 units (undergrad, and Dr. It, only half as much for grad students) - so you have time *after* your "full time job" (school) for beer time. And, I have to admit, that can be a very important timemwink.gif

What I don't get are the students that sign them selves up for 20+ credit hrs and then complain that they don't have time to do all the class work (along w/ working close to full time). Has the instant gratification generation gotten to expect instant understanding w/o putting in the time to actually learn the material?headscratch.gif
