Photo Enhancer

I currently use Pacasa to adjust my JPEG images. I would like to move to another program that I might accomplish more. Do you have a suggestion of such a enhancer that might not be to difficult. I understand Photo Shop can be difficult. I have no one to help me, and no classes are in this area. Something with walk-you-through tutorials might help me. Suggestions would be appreciated.

    While the learning curve is steep, as is the price to get into it, there really is not much of an alternative for Photoshop. While there are many other programs out there (JASC, GIMP, others) that can do much of the same and sometimes even more; PS is the defacto standard.

    One advantage of that is that there are TONS of online tutorials, books, usergroups, plugins (knowledgebase) for Photoshop.

    If you are looking for something without cost, an opensource alternative that will get you started is GIMP. This program can be found at:
