I tried and I tried. Oh how I tried! And the sun was soooooooo red just now.

But STILL can't quite catch all the color. I maxed on the saturation, used "cloudy" +3 white balance, ISO 50, and 1/250 sec @ f/4.6 and, oh--reduced the brightness and contrast a bit with ArcSoft PhotoStudio.

Well, here's this one:

All my CA Sunset shots were taken from the roof of my house in Fontana.

Shooting data for this: 1/2000 sec...f/4.6 (shutter priority)...ISO 50...White Balance "Cloudy" +3...4X optical zoom plus 1.5X tele (Phoenix lens)...Saturation 0 ('normal") and NO editing:

One more for now; Off in the distance, I think that's the Puente Hills, which you can barely see by the sun.

Shooting data: 1/250 sec...f/4.6 (shutter priority)...ISO 50...White Balance "Cloudy" +3, Saturation Comp +2...NO editing except for size.

I sure would like to have been able to capture the beet-red color the sun actually was. Anyone with helpful hints, just cough 'em up!
