your eagle pics are just awesome...
you are quite fortunate (or diligent) to have found such a spot to photograph...if you don't mind my asking, what was the setup you were using and how far away were you?

    Regards..Keith

    Oh those talons!
Likely MY favorite two eagle shots--especially the second one.

You should send them to the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division (I think they're the so-called "Screaming Eagles").

I love the lines on the second shot, was he landing or picking up a snack?

Thank you Keith, the setup was very simple. The birds allowed me to get between 20 to 50 feet, therefore my one and only 80-200 mm Nikon 2.8 worked great hand held. In one case, I believe a bird knew I was safe when he flew close over my head, and landed about 10 ft. away. For some reason, they didn't like the tripod, and would shy away when I tried to use it. I wish I could have spent more time with them, but I am very greatful for the opportunity to have gotten these pictures.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Nick, I don't remember if he was looking for lunch, or just in a hurry to land. Lucky for me that I saw him coming. These were both my favorites Forehead, but what I consider my best will be posted soon.

I must agree Steve these two are rather stunning, and they work well together. When I saw what was happening, my camera got the first one beautifully, but was a little slow when he began the dive. At first I was disappointed, but in retrospect I think the little bit of blurr projects the speed at which he was traveling.

Well I have, what I think is better, but I'm sure the Forum will let know the truth of the matter. I have a few more, before I start the juveniles.
