That shot just draws you in. Love it.
Thanks to the judges for all their hard work. Tough contest with many great entries.

I'm so glad this one ended up as your choice for the challenge. I liked it from the getgo. Congratulations!!!

Ginger your photo is a really lovely shot and a deserved winner. I found it really hard to choose between the finalists, my favorites being your pic and "arches to black".
Well done!!!

I don't know, I did not expect to be where I was. No way! I did not expect to make the finals, then people were voting for it. I e-mailed my family and friends that I was happy, and would be happy when my vote went down.
Then I started getting excited!
How the heck to choose???? I had no problem not voting for myself, so many I loved. (Last night I was wishing I had voted for myself. I was insane!)
All, I can say Scott is that yours was a hell of a photo as you hear others say, too.
I am honored to be where I am today and very pleased. If it had gone the other way, it would have been only fitting. Geez, so many photos deserving a blue ribbon!
Now, how are you all coming on "Rough"???? I was having trouble with that myself. Then I would think to hold off, at least until the sun came out for textures.
Don't forget dates. Please don't, hey, I usually remind people if I see they are new, or excited and forgot something. I can't this time. Something to think about.
Thanks, Scott,
ginger
That was one reason I was so excited. I have not put my winners forward in a gallery before. I just did, found out the dates as close as I could.
Then I put it on Daily Photos for certain people to see and said, "OK, I am just bragging".

I even like them all, all over again. For awhile Bill was the only photo I liked. The first one was the one of the fence. I pretty well found out when I took it, but I was not sure what the Challenge was. (Curves? Is that right?)
Oh, guys, gals, I am a happy WOman!
Thanks and thanks and thanks,
and thanks for all who voted for the ones I couldn't. Couldn't vote
for but one.
Thanks for participating. With 70 some good photos, I had to do a
double take to see that I was in the finals!
And I would especially like to congratulate the dog! The first dog to make it into the finals that I remember. I always tell people not to enter dogs!
The jinx may be over!

I didn't really get excited about the challenge until I showed up among the finalists. Then I saw the others and figured, nah, no way!
Then your numbers and mine started to race (but I was always behind) so I figured the best I could do was to place (win, place, show). The shot was, as I noted in another, post just something I have been wanting to do since the building was complete a year or two ago. It just turned out way better than I ever expected (and I think I will have to go back and re-shoot it, I see problems, but we all see problems in our work).
Rough is really giving me a rough time. I've had a couple of idea, but they haven't turned into much. I still have next week-end. We'll just have to see what happens.
Oh, I just went and looked at your other winners and I REALLY like the fence and the bird shots.

Yep Harj I agree. I'm so glad Ginger, that you changed the shot you did have in there at one point. I couldn't understand why you'd changed it when this one was obviously better. I did like Scott's too.
