I spotted an eagle in the area. :huh
:uhoh :rofl :rofl
O.K....so it was way too far away to shoot with a 200mm. You wondering if this is really an eagle..eh? :dunno Here is a HEAVY crop of the SAME image.
Yep... a YOUNG EAGLE. I know where this one hangs out. It's just a matter of time before I find the nesting site. I also ran into a buddy today that knows where a huge eagle's nest is ...near my house. He's going to take me there someday. <crosses fingers> I can only hope I get some shots like you've been posting.
Here are a couple more with heavy cropping. Doesn't really count as a "photo". I was amazed that I got detail considering the crappy overcast lighting and how much I blew these up. Guess that's why that "L" glass isn't cheap. :wxwax

Just think he's still young and will be with you for some time maybe. I would be out of luck with my 200 though. I have a few more posts, and then I'm going to put up some juveniles that aren't to shabby. I hope to return next year, if my advanced age will allow, and then we can have some good competition.

Dallas..no worries about "Nick". I was just bustin' your chops. It's the least I could do for posting those eagle shots. I think you give me a bit too much credit. Don't know if I can top your shots. I'd be happy to equal them at this point. Well done <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" > You can tell me where the location is...I can't drive so IT"S safe. I won't tell anyone else. :uhoh JK. I understand your situation. No problem. I am curious...though....was it private property? (not that stops me hehehe).
Here are some from Vierra Wet Lands. Again..really too far away to be a decent shot. HEAVY CROP ACTION ON THESE. <grumble grumble> That 200mm is killin' me. I've not saved up enough for the 300mm/2.8 or 500mm yet. I did get the 1.4x TC..but that doesn't do much.

Hey Dallas...good man. You can keep a secret. I kind of wish you couldn't . I am hoping I find a "golden nest" shooting spot soon. I've got the "word" out to my locals. Perhaps I can persuade a pair of eagles to come live in the large tree across the canal. Then I could shoot them from my patio. :uhoh

You need to work on that, after all you have every other bird with in about 100 yard radius.
