Brugge by night

Hi guys,

Brugge is by far the most romantic city in Belgium. One just can not resist it's charm and beauty.
This photo was one of my favorite oldies. Shot in June 2004 with an F828, it was hiding somewhere in my hard drive and I completely forgot about it.
I found it recently and had a second look at it.
Although I was never too keen about b&w city scapes, I felt that this photo might look nicer in monochrome.
I had a pleasant surprised when the job was done. Indeed it looked much better.
I think I have to change my approach to photography...

Here it is, Brugge by night:

    Hey Moti,

I do like this in B&W. It's funny, I have been trying to concentrate on doing more colour photography this year, but there are times when you just know that something will look alot better in monochrome.

    This is a great example.

    Cheers,

Great shot. I really like the BW tonal control shown in this photo. thumb.gifthumb.gif

I can tell from the EXIF that you processed it in PS CS2, but did you use any other third party plug-in filters, etc.

Very nicely done regardless of technique, but I just wondered whether you used any special processing.

I also ran through some of your galleries. Great work.

    What a fantasic shot.

If i remember, i think that shot view is the opposite side to the river that i shot my picture, posted here a few days ago.

I agree, Brugge is such a romantic place. Great for Night shots, as most of the rivers/canals are all lit up by night.

    Beautiful black and white shot.
I should learn to push my F828 that far.
    Good work.

Just love B&W of architecture, especially with this kind of lighting.
