    Chillin'
Define "cold" for us, wouldjya? Here in SoCal, people think it's "cold" when it's 50 degF.

Try near 60-below (NOT counting the chill factor) where I grew up!

Great shots as usual Troy. I have to ask, do you use a blind to get these shots, are they crops or full frame? I have tried to get this close to the little guys with not much success. Oh, and BTW the first shot has a little cloing gone bad in the top right corner and the front edge of the feeder.

    hey,
most of my bird shots are crops..... im about 10-15 feet away.
they birds recognize me and are not afraid of me anymore. They will now EAT from my hand! That said, i do wear a hat that covers most of my head and i always have my eye in the viewfinder, so the birds actually wouldnt see my face at all, it helps....
    BTW, I am looking into re-buying the 300 mm f/4 mwink.gif

Thanks for the info. Even though I did end up buying the 400mm f/5.6 I think the 300 is sharper and secretly it is my second favorite lens behind the 50mm f/1.4.

I think if you would have asked me before I went to Florida I would have said yes but I found it very useful there and think I will keep it. But if that changes I'll let you know. Your first post looks better now. I always do that, I upload a shot and then I notice I left something in or forgot to take something out.
