Went hiking in Griffith park,LA yesterday and witnessed this hawk harassing a couple of crows. It looks like a Cooper's hawk but I'm not certain.
Any observations or comments are appreciated.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Excellent Russ. What great exposure and detail in all of them. What better way to ask for an ID, and then show three prefect angles; one from above, one from below, and one in the middle. Outstanding captures.clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Thanks for the ID Harry, I'll mark it down as a Cooper's.

On closer inspection of the photos and rechecking my field guide, I'll have to agree with jwear that this is a juvenile red-tail. Apparently juvenile red-tail have grey-brown tails with with many blakish bands much like the hawk in the photo.
And a juvenile chasing Crows is a dumb thing to do:D
