I was never going to show this picture to anyone because I'd get laughed off the forum for the camera I had to use.
This guy was sitting on the fence beside the road as Glennie and I were coming home from a movie. I didn't have my good camera with me and I knew I'd loose him if I went home to get it but Glennie always has her camera in her purse. It's a 2.1 MP Oly C2040 ... real ancient:dunno . We blinded the owl with the car lights and I shot a bunch of pictures of him with flash. The moon is an added layer.

So laugh away boys and girls :rofl :rofl :rofl

Who's laughing - you'll find for sure that we mess about when talking gear - but we're all about the pitchas - the camera used is secondary (but, it's certainly well known that Canon is better than Nikon...)

    thumb.gif really cool shot!

It's a better owl shot than the 0 I have. Some of my favorite pictures I have taken have been with my Olympus 750UZ. Good job making the most of the oportunity presented.

Hey, well, check out the detail on the moon!!! Not bad for a 2.1, even if it isn't a Canon or a Nikon! Great shot.......better than the ones I shot today with my 8 megapixel! clap.gif

Thank goodness you did decide to show us the picture. I'd love to have that in my collection, and what a good photographer you are to grab any camera, gets any kind of light on the subject, and come back with a great night photo of a difficult bird to even find at night. Once again it proves the photographer is the master, not the camera.clap.gifclap.gif

I'm laughing alright... but only at Andy the 7 year old instigator. umph.gif

Who cares about the camera, YOU did a great job with that capture. Much better than trying to download all my owl shots from my brain. I think my drivers need updating, or something.

    Wow!! Thankyou
It's been a long 12 hour day at work and I just got home to find all of your very kind comments. Thankyou all. It made my day. And maybe it's time for me to occasionally post some of the very excellent landscapes that my talented wife, Glennie had made with this little 2.1. I keep offering to buy her a new camera but she loves this thing.ne_nau.gif:):

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
