Staircase lightshow -- What do you think?

This was taken when I was touring an eye research facility. When I saw the stairs -- it begged to be shot. I had to lag behind our group to shoot it empty in order to capture the full effect of the lines, lights and color. A few friends/photographer asked me why shoot that, but it interested me so here it is. Tell me what you feel and if it can be improved. Whipping Post material ???
