Horsetail Falls - Yosemite

Well, it was that time of year again in Yosemite, I tried for the shot three weekends in a row but I finally got close to what I wanted. I wish there would have been a little more water, but it is what it is...

For those of you unfamiliar with Horsetail Falls, for about a two week period at the end of February, IF there is water coming off the falls and IF there is actually light and not clouds or snow or rain, the setting sun reflect off of the granite of El Capitan and lights op the falls and creates what looks like a firefall.

and just for good meause here is a shot of El Cap Saturday night at sunset.

    I'm waiting for the road to open, I get in from the Lee Vining side. I wish I was there, an incredible place.

    Great captures... once again. I remember last years. I think I will have to take a trip down there sometime in Feb.
