Perth Zoo
Went to the Zoo on Saturday to give the zoom lens a workout, apart from being way to warm for most of the animals to be overly active it was good fun.
Soaking up some rays
Trying to work out how to get in this enclosure...
No idea on this guys name but a beautiful blue all the same
Doing what kangaroo's do best during the heat
Have since worked this pic in photoshop as I quite like it
Checking the paper for any employment opportunities
(shot through dirty glass)
Someone actually enjoying the heat
The best way to stay cool is stay in the water as shown by the fairie penguins
Not sure if the glass is quite thick enough for this guy but I trusted it long enough for a photo
and finally one for the egret fans out there, this isn't in an enclosure but near a man made lake with monkeys that hangout on an island in the middle
Thanks for stopping by, comment and critque away!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Most of the animals were sleeping unfortunately, I picked a hot day and was there around midday to make matters worse.
None of the shots were cropped I just used the zoo as an opportunity to get closeups of animals you would probably not be able to(or want to in some cases) get that close to. I do have wider shots of most of the animals pictured but was happy with the closeups as well.
Cheers for the comments by the way.
Makes mem want to visit a zoo, but I know I'd end up chasing my Kid around rather than holding my lens steady.
