Was just playing around with some ice shots.
Too dang cold to go far so this caught my eye.

(Click on photo for EXIF Info)
This one was a goof off shot.
Given the back ground wasn't to my liking (Cluttered)
I used the sun to back light the ice then shot from around the corner of the garage in the shade.
But I couldn't do much about the BG. :uhoh
I used CS2 and a Plug-in called Bad Dreams for this effect.
I thought the result was interesting?:dunno

Wow........... I just cannot comprehend coldness like that, I really can't
We don't even get frost where I live, let alone ice.
Gosh and look how thick that water flow was ......heavens above.
These kinda shots amaze me, cause you just will not see such a sight in my neck of the woods Skippy (Australia)

Flows like that are generally caused by a very slow trickle of water. A little of that water is deposited as ice. So, the water/ice just keeps building on itself. If the water was running at the volume one might assume from these pictures, it would be flowing too fast to turn to ice. Ice forms when the flow rate is SLOW.
Science Lesson over....
These are nice. I really like the first. The ice is very nicely dispersing the light - makes for a very interesting image.
