I have a Nikon D50 body for sale. I bought it last month and i shot less than 275 pictures with it.
Includes:
  • Nikon D50 Body only
  • The original box it came in.
  • All the accessories/software that normally come with the camera.
  • Original receipts.
  • 1 Year Nikon Warranty.
  • Extra 4 years (total 5 years) of Mack Warranty.
  • Sandisk 512 MB Ultra II SD Card.
Camera is new and in excellent condition. No scratches or dents, etc. Only some fingerprints :D

Price: $500.
I will consider reasonable offers; PM me please if you are interested.
I won't put this camera on eBay until (and including) at least this Friday (10 Mar 2006). So, i may put it on eBay, but no earlier than this Saturday.

I prefer a local sale (Boston), but i can ship it to the buyer. The shipping (for 2 day-shipping) should not be more than around $15 dollars (tracking & insurance included). If you're local or willing to make the trip to Boston, you're welcome to inspect the camera.

Why am i selling this camera:
I had some troubles with my D70 and it was sent out for repairs. I did not have a backup camera. I decided to buy a D200 and use the D70 as a backup. However, D200s were nowhere to be found and i bought the D50 as a backup instead. I found a D200 a little while ago, i bought it and now my D50 is one DSLR too many :)

It is an excellent camera to buy for new or just for a backup camera when you already have Nikon glass.

A few pictures i took with my D50 (not that many :D) (high ISO pics):

I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,

all I can think is:

I am noob interested in getting into photography and have been interested in the Nikon D70, so PLEASE forgive my ignorant questions.
What is the the difference between the D50 and D70? ne_nau.gif
And as a noob getting into photography for the first time is the D50 a camera I should consider having no technical training? headscratch.gif

I hope I am not hijacking this thread and perhaps giving it a friendly BUMPmwink.gif
And if so you may contact me at tgmcbride@charter.net

Thanks in advance for all comments & suggestions.

Tom, check out this link, it should tell you everything and more. It includes a side-side comparison of d50 and d70:

    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond50/

in short, the d50 is a more entry-level geared dslr. A very nice little package, for a very nice little price.
