How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

How are you getting these AWESOME eagle shots? Do you have an eagle pen in your backyard? You are posting some of the best eagle shots I've seen. Keep 'em coming.

I have not been looking for eagles or raptors for a long time. I was driving hours, wearing myself out with no hope of ever getting a WOW shot. I would have gotten me a shot of an eagle on top of a tree, perhaps from close enough, but anything I would get was eclipsed a long time ago many times over.

I still like to hunt birds, so egret fest suits me just fine. I can't beat, or equal the "flip", but then again, just doing the photography is a relaxing process without undo strain or driving.

I don't know where to post this, so here seems fine. I have noticed that Sullivan's Island has put up two poles with things on top that could only be meant to entice raptors of some kind.

They have done it in separate places at the edge of a marsh. (One does not see one with the other, they are totally separate and well placed for viewing, but high enough for a bird to feel safe and where they seem to hunt anyway, or near where) I wonder if any birds will come to these things. I am excited that they are at least trying! One is on the other side of the inland waterway, at the end of the old Pitt ST bridge which is not for vehicles now and does not cross the waterway. It is in a family dog walking, child walking, jogging type neighborhood. But not terribly crowded, should be prime viewing and reachable with a long lens (may need an extender and a tripod, smile.).

Dallas, you know we love those eagle shots! Do you have enough until your next trip? Fantastic series!

Dallas, I look forward to your eagle shots. Lets me know what kind of eagles are in other states, smile.

Please post and post them things! You know I would if I ran into a colony like you did!

Maybe it is on an island like the TV show "Lost" and is a total mystery......

I think it is good that it is not "known", one would hate to see the place over run by all of us dGrinners shooting birds till they just quit posing!

I need you to take care of my Eagles? Jeb can't ban me from Florida. I'm a native son whose family goes back to the 1800's, raised in West Palm Beach, and a graduate from UofF, so I'm bullet proof against banishment, unbanable....etcrolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif I live in Los Angeles, but some day I will return. By the way I like the title, Mr. Eagle Smarty Pants.....Thanks for the good words.:):
