Lesser Goldfinch
This little guy came into my feeders the other day. I believe it's an immature Male Lesser Goldfinch.

Don't worry...it's just a temporary thing. I'll spend my way out of it. I hope to pick up a 300mm f/2.8 and a 500mm f/4 in the near future. Gas $$$$ for the boat and beer $$$$ has put a dent in my lens budget. I know..I know..my priorities are all messed up. Fishing should take a back seat to photography.

But when you get that 500, put a 1.4 TC on it and just try to keep a bird in the viewfinder handheld. Not even in focus - just in sight. Lotsa luck!!:D:D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I'll be jealous if you get that 300 f/2.8, that sounds like a SWEET lens.
