On a grey windy evening, Carolina egrets could be seen doing egret things, perhaps on the way to Florida, perhaps not. EGRET FEST!!!

Oh yes! I love those feet. That one foot in #3. And the angle in #2, looks like he's right at your feet and you're looking down at him.

Very nice set, Ginger. Love them.thumb.gif

    Hi, Snappy, Thanks!

Yes, I am on a walkway that is above them. It is from the 1800s, some of it is just where the dirt is built up. Then there is a small part that was built on in the last couple of years, then it just falls apart with bits from the old bridge where the trolley ran to Sullivan's Island from Mt Pleasant. All of that puts me above the birds, unless they are flying, smile.

They are very aware of people, though, and they can be spooked by a clicking shutter even with me being above them. In general the people and dogs don't bother them. They seemed very hungry last night, the few that there were. Eventually there were three Snowys, at the time I took these photos there was just that one. Very windy! No people at all, I was scare, a footstep would have "spooked" me to death.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks, Harry, Steve, Ben, John! Thanks for stopping to look and comment.

I actually worried about posting a photo with water like that, then I thought that considering the weather, it was only realistic to think the water would not be reflecting a non existent bright blue sky, smile.

    thanks again,
