Hdr?

anyone tried HDR yet? if so how do you sort through your images? what program do you use to produce your HDR image??

I have not done it, but it seems that photoshop would be the way to go...

Yes, and I had a really tough time getting it to look good. I had an easier time using "shadows and highlights" to make things look okay... maybe I need to work harder with scenes with 14 stops of light in range :-P

One you merge, it takes a LOT of work with "curves" (in the 32 to 16 bit sense) to make things look okay. The latest issue of OP has an article on this... worth a read.

What am I supposed to look at here? Those are all rendered images! What does that have to do with HDR and photography?

true, my original question was about the process of completing HDR photos.

Also take a look at Photomatix, which is a stand alone program that I think massages the HDR image better than Photoshop's merge-to-HDR filter does.

They have a demo you can download and try out on your images if you want. They also have many examples on their site. I don't own this, but have looked into it.
